Some sad news to report - Jeff Healey passed away last night, from cancer. This is pretty shocking, he was an amazing musician. If you would like to read more, please visit his official site. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Amanda will be in BC for 2 shows in January. You can get tickets now from ticketmaster. I hope this means we'll be getting more tour dates soon.

The Casino Rama concert was amazing!! She sang for about 2 hours and did most of her older hits. She also talked a bit during the show and told us some stories, like she usually does. It was really great to finally see her again. She didn't sing any new songs or mention another cd, but hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see her again.

If you went to the show, make sure to come post your reviews and comments in the FORUM. A bunch of people have done that already. I also got another chance to meet her after the show, so I will try and post the pictures soon.

Believe in You is being sung by the Canadian Idols and will become the anthem for this summer's "Help the Idols Build a House" fundraising campaign. You can read more HERE.

Amanda is supposed to be performing at Casino Rama on October 13th. When I find out more details, i'll post them. This is really, really exciting!! I hope there will be more dates this year too!

There's still no news, but I made a new layout, as you can see. I hope you all like it! Well, actually I made 2 versions. It's the same layout, just different colours, but I need your opinions. HERE'S a screengrab of the other colours. Just vote and let me know which you like. Thanks!

Amanda made a special appearance at the annual CUPS Gala last Friday in Calgary. It was to support the CUPS One World Child Development Centre. You can read the press release here! Some of the songs she sang were Believe in you, Dark Horse, Let it rain, Birmingham, Fall from Grace. I wish I could have been there. It's really great to see that she's out supporting all these causes. Good for her!

I really thought I posted this before, but I guess I didn't. Anyway, here are a couple pics from the AIDS conference from last August.


There's still nothing new going on with her yet, but if I do find out something, i'll post it. I don't know if you've seen those ads for Rogers around. They have pictures of people made out of artists' names. Well, one of them looks like Amanda. I always see it when i'm on the subway and bus. I posted a pic on the board. So go check it out and post what you think. Maybe this is a sign that she'll be coming back with something new soon? I hope! :)

There's finally some news! Amanda will be performing at the 2006 International AIDS Conference on August 13th. You can get more info here. I don't know if i'll be going to this yet, but if anyone does please let me know how it went! :) I really hope we'll hear more from her soon and get a new cd!!
